The Somascan Men’s Ministry is a movement of men from the ages of 30-45 (or older!) based on the spirituality of the Somascan Fathers. It allows for young men to gather together to grow in fraternity and faith – with the pillars of the movement being:
- Brotherhood
- Formation
- Dialogue/sharing
- Prayer.
This group was founded with a desire to form young Catholic men to grow stronger in their faith and their identity as men, in a society that tries so desperately to destroy the importance of men in society.
Founded based on the Somascan Spirituality, the ministry aims to infuse the charism first given by the Holy Spirit to the founder of the Somascan Fathers, St. Jerome Emiliani – the Paternal love of God.
We meet once a month, typically on the last Tuesday of each month. It has helped many of us in recent years grow stronger in our brotherhood, Catholic faith and love of Jesus. It is a gift to share this news and we are now pleased to extend the invite to men in our parish.
